Phased Development The Riyadh Metropolitan development extends northward from the city center along King Fahd Road and King Khalid Road (Salbuk Road). Situated on this axis, Riyadh North will be developed in four phases starting from public facilities at the South end to residential clusters of gated communities toward North.
Zoning Concept The first phase development provides public zones for commercial, business, sports, and light industrial functions. The other phases incorporate private residential areas. Green axis (Canal Park), golf course, and other green spaces and belts connect and surround these zones to complete the city’s spatial structure.
Zoning Concept This entire project will be basically of grid pattern following the South-North phasing development and green axis with the East-West axis oriented to the holy city of Mecca.
